Hi, I’m Katie Reichard, a Licensed Master Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Whatever has led you here, please know that I consider it a privilege to be a part of your path toward healing.
You do not have to go through this journey of life alone. Everyone faces challenges. Some have difficulties with relationships, others experience anxiety or depression; many people feel stressed and overwhelmed. As a therapist, I am here to help you sort out life’s difficulties and guide you along the way.
I welcome the opportunity to work with teens, adults, families, and couples to address a variety of concerns including: anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, body image, and self-esteem issues.
I especially have a passion for working with girls and women in addressing self-esteem and self-worth issues, which often lead to increased symptoms of anxiety, depression, and body image disorders. I want to be a part of helping you realize your worth and talents, so that you can experience a heightened sense of joy, purpose, and calm in your life.
I offer a holistic approach to therapy. I will work with you to identify ways to cope with difficult thoughts and emotions, and to create healthy lifestyle habits. I often use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, as well as, incorporating mindfulness and solution-focused techniques in therapy.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
I have a Master’s in Social Work from Michigan State University, as well as, a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Calvin College. Prior to starting at Amplified Life Network, I was part of two other counseling practices; I also worked as a Medical Social Worker for Mercy Health.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and twin boys, going for walks, and playing board games.
