Amanda Duvall, MEd, ATR-P

Hi, I’m Amanda Duvall. I'm an Art Therapist, Yoga Instructor and Wellbeing Coach. I specialize in using holistic and creative methods to help my clients enhance self-awareness, manage behaviors, reduce stress and pain, and improve self-esteem.

In keeping with trauma psychology and best practices, I believe a holistic approach to therapy allows for the physical, mental and emotional release of stress and tension associated with emotional trauma, anxiety, depression, and other psychological issues.

I use a person-centered approach to counseling, combined with a mix of other holistic techniques best suited to fit the individual. I'll help you identify your unique path of recovery and renewal and guide you towards greater self-acceptance.  I'll also show you how to use mind-body practices such as art therapy, mindfulness and yoga to experience a greater sense of peace and joy in everyday life.   I welcome the opportunity to work with children, teens, and adults to address a variety of concerns including: trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, anger management, grief and loss issues and personality disorders. I have also worked closely with women who have experienced domestic abuse and self-esteem issues.

I have a Master’s in Art Therapy from Wayne State University. I have completed yoga and meditation trainings and have been teaching for four years. I have worked in schools, private practices, women centers, Christian church communities and yoga studios. Combining Art Therapy and yoga helps to heal the mind, body and soul. In my free time, I enjoy creating art, traveling with my husband, yoga and going for walks in the woods.

Our services are provided in our historic office located on a private, wooded, 4 acre setting only 20 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. It's a place where you can relax, get perspective, re-adjust and re-charge. To learn more about our professional services go to
